Global asset management Janus Henderson announced Michelle Dunstan's appointment as Chief Responsibility Officer, tasked with supervising the company's corporate responsibility and responsible investment initiatives.
Dunstan joins the firm after serving at AllianceBernstein for more than 18 years, most recently as Chief Responsibility Officer and Global Head of Responsible Investing, where she developed and maintained the firm's Corporate ESG strategy and co-created and co-managed one of the firm's ESG-focused equity portfolios.
The CEO of Janus Henderson, Ali Dibadj, stated:
"I've known Michelle for a very long time; she is a tremendously talented and energetic individual. Michelle's experience and leadership talents strengthen our existing strengths, and she will further integrate corporate responsibility and responsible investing into our organization. I am certain that she will be an effective champion for sustainable practices inside the company and the industry at large."
In January, Dunstan will join the company and report to Dibadj. She will be based in the United States and will collaborate with the ESG teams at Janus Henderson to identify the best techniques and frameworks for the firm's responsible investing and corporate responsibility initiatives.
Dunstan said:
"Janus Henderson's long history of providing differentiated insights and disciplined investing positions it to be a leader in the development of ESG thought leadership and portfolio solutions that will assist our customers in achieving their objectives. I look forward to collaborating with Janus Henderson's existing outstanding teams to continue the organization's Responsibility journey.
