The Zurich-based asset management business Vontobel announced Jean-Louis Nakamura's appointment as Head of its Sustainable Equities Boutique.
After 14 years in the Swiss private bank Lombard Odier, where he most recently served as Chief investment officer for Asia Pacific and CEO of Lombard Hong Kong, Nakamura has joined Vontobel. Before joining Lombard Odier, he served as CEO and CIO of the French Pension Reserve Fund and the Civil Service Pension Fund.
Christel Rendu de Lint, Vontobel's Deputy Head of Investments, stated:

In his new position, Nakamura will oversee a team of 35 investment professionals in Zurich, Milan, and Hong Kong. The 15 billion Swiss francs (US$15 billion) boutique firm offers solutions in sustainable developing market equities, Swiss stocks, impact investment, and theme investing.
Hans Speich, who has served for sixteen years at Vontobel, is succeeded by Nakamura.
