Business Essentials: The Complete Enterprise Toolkit - II

Additionally, you will delve into the foundational topic of finance and economics-valuation. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of how key concepts are applied in financial decision-making and investment strategies.
Module 1: Customers and Marketing
In Unit 1, you will explore key marketing concepts and frameworks that shape effective business strategies. You will establish a shared understanding of marketing and its role within an organisation, while examining the importance of customer centricity in driving long-term success. The module introduces the Segmentation-Targeting-Positioning (STP) model, a strategic framework that helps businesses identify and engage their most valuable customers. You will also gain insights into the marketing mix (4Ps) and how organisations use it to create and deliver impactful marketing strategies. Through practical applications and critical discussions, you will be equipped with the foundational knowledge needed to develop customer-focused marketing approaches.
In Unit 2, you will apply key marketing frameworks to real-world scenarios, developing strategies for market segmentation, targeting, and positioning. Through case studies, you will assess brand strategies, refine positioning, and optimise the marketing mix (4Ps) for different customer segments. Finally, you will apply these concepts to your own organisation or a familiar brand, crafting a customer-centric strategy to engage new or underserved markets effectively.
Module 2: Finance and Economics
In Unit 1, you will build a strong foundation in business valuation by exploring key financial concepts and frameworks. You will examine capital structure, Enterprise Value (EV), and the impact of compounding interest on investment decisions. The module also covers essential valuation methods, including Net Present Value (NPV) and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, equipping you with the tools to assess financial viability and make informed business decisions.
In Unit 2, you will transition from valuation theory to practical application. You will explore comparables analysis ("comps"), a key method for valuing companies based on industry benchmarks.
